{"id":217,"date":"2015-06-22T20:58:38","date_gmt":"2015-06-23T00:58:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/?p=217"},"modified":"2015-06-22T20:58:38","modified_gmt":"2015-06-23T00:58:38","slug":"bead-and-button-show-part-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/?p=217","title":{"rendered":"Bead and Button Show Part 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My sister and I had a blast at the Bead and Button Show in Milwaukee at the beginning of this month. \u00a0We each took 5 classes and learned some great new techniques. \u00a0We also shopped, and shopped, and shopped. \u00a0So many great beads and findings to purchase. \u00a0My favorite section features the bead artists. \u00a0I always manage to pick up a bead or two from these creative folks.<\/p>\n<p>I wish I could remember who made this lampwork frog bead. \u00a0I purchased this from the silent auction during the bead social and didn&#8217;t get a card with the box. I can&#8217;t seem to resist her beads. Her ceramic beads have wonderful natural motifs. This time I found a bee\u00a0bracelet topper, dragonfly pendant, cranes cabochon and a pair of small starfish beads.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/firefly.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-220\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/firefly.jpg\" alt=\"firefly\" width=\"640\" height=\"393\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/firefly.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/firefly-300x184.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A new artist I discovered, also working in ceramic, is <a href=\"http:\/\/andrew-thornton.blogspot.com\/\">Andrew Thornton<\/a>, of Allegory Gallery. I purchased these wonderful seahorse pendants.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/andrew.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-219\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/andrew.jpg\" alt=\"andrew\" width=\"1000\" height=\"754\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/andrew.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/andrew-300x226.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I had seen the beads created by Vladislav and Kremena Ivanova of <a href=\"http:\/\/golemstudio.com\/\">Golem Design Studio<\/a> in Bulgaria before, but this is the first time I&#8217;ve purchased any pieces. I fell in love with the snail pendant and had to get the little matching ladybug beads. And since they were so well priced, I picked up the flower pendant as well.
