{"id":387,"date":"2017-04-27T09:46:08","date_gmt":"2017-04-27T13:46:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/?p=387"},"modified":"2017-04-27T09:46:08","modified_gmt":"2017-04-27T13:46:08","slug":"stampin-up-florals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/?p=387","title":{"rendered":"Stampin&#8217; Up Florals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At a recent family gathering, we played with some of our new Stampin Up sets. \u00a0My sister received the Avant Garden and Artistically Asian. \u00a0I tried\u00a0a coloring technique on these stamps, using Tim Holtz Distress Markers. \u00a0I colored the parts of the stamps in the shades I wanted, breathed on the stamp to add back moisture, then stamped the images. \u00a0It resulted in a watercolor look that I like.\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-386\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/watercolor4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1107\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/watercolor4.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/watercolor4-271x300.jpg 271w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><br \/>\n(Avant Garden) I used a Spellbinders nestabilities rectangle set to cut each of the stamped images and coordinating color mats.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-385\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/watercolor3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1208\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/watercolor3.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/watercolor3-248x300.jpg 248w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><br \/>\n(Artistically Asian) The floral images were accented with distress ink shaded onto the edges.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-384\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/watercolor2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1172\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/watercolor2.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/watercolor2-256x300.jpg 256w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><br \/>\n(Artistically Asian) The matted images were then mounted onto patterned papers from my stash.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-383\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/watercolor1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1173\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/watercolor1.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/blog.elizabethtaylorstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/watercolor1-256x300.jpg 256w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><br \/>\n(Artistically Asian) Finally, each image was accented with a large sticker. These were found at a local dollar store. \u00a0They are very nice, made from heavy cardstock. \u00a0Four more cards into the stack.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s nice to have a box full of completed cards. I had two friends who recently lost their husbands. I was able to pull out a nice card, add a sentiment and a note inside and get the card sent to them in a timely manner.
